Thankful Thursday

Since I haven't bought new batteries for my digital camera yet, I'm unable to share with you the pictures of my new couch which I bought via Craig's List. Or the pieces I found at the new indoor flea market that opened a few miles from here. Or the pictures that I took of Yorke Towne Shoppe (my favorite place.) Or even any of the desserts I have made lately. They're all stuck in a camera, hidden from everyone because I keep forgetting to buy batteries!

So today I'm sharing a video that I saw on Rosemary's blog yesterday. It had me in stitches for quite a while. I don't think Kenny or the boys got the kick out of it that I did but what do they know?

Please take a minute and stop over at Kari's. Many of you know that her cousin Joey was involved in a serious accident at work a few weeks ago. Sadly, he passed away Tuesday night. I pray that the love and peace of the Lord gives this family comfort during these next few difficult days.

Thanks for stopping by to give me the name of the restaurant on top of Mt. Washington. Meg had emailed me with it too. It was lovely!

That video is so funny. I'm glad my cat hasn't learn to hold a bat cause she gets REAL mad and vocal if I'm not up by 4:30 a.m. to give her her morning treats.

The creator of that video really knows cats. My bulldog was sitting beside me as I played it and he thought there was really a cat somewhere. Sometimes I think cats are much smarter than dogs. :)

Oh Julie! If you could hear me right now! I am online with my mother who told me go right now to look at your blog. I am crying laughing so hard! I kept telling my mother "This is Dagi". SO THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS.....don't give my Dagi a baseball bat! LOL!

Hi! How exciting abuot your couch, can't wait to see the pictures!

You left a comment on my blog about wanting the girls to stay away from your son. At his age, in my oppinion, he should be staying away, but I just wanted to share with you what we did. We said no girlfriends until age 15 or 16 and they have to ask the girls father first. That really made them think and wait for the right girl if they had to be brave enough to ask her father. Three out of four waited until almost 17 to have their first girlfriend. Then once they do have their first girlfriend, we preach wisdom, wisdom, wisdom, purity, purity, purity! But I have been talking to them about girls since kindergarten and also praying for their future wives since they were all really young. When they were around 16 or so they started praying for their future wives too.

I feel that a wise woman embraces the women that come into their son's lives, because otherwise you will only lose your son instead of keep your son and gain the girl. A couple of times my boys have gotten with girls I was very concerned about for one reason or another and just prayed over the situation and God worked it out. I did tell them that they should listen to me and my gut feelings as well as their own because I have been praying all of these years and I believe God will give me a peace about it as well as them, so they should value my opinion.

Wow....I didn't mean to write so much! Blessings to you and your family today! Sharon

I thought the video was hysterical! We don't have a cat but our Shih Tzu is half cat (not really, but she acts like it). I haven't been by for a few days so I have to go catch up. My oldest has pneumonia and the two little ones are really just coming out of the cold/flu yuck. I'm off to visit your friend and put her on our prayer list. Blessings... Polly

Cats are evil...cartoon cats, real cats...they are all bad news! ;-)

I am so sorry about your friend's loss. I know the pain of losing someone precious, and much to young, to an accident. Its heartbreaking. God bless the family.
