Taking Off

Good Morning Everyone! This is going to be a really short post. Since the boys aren't here, and both Kenny and I are feeling better AND it's supposed to be close to 90 and sunny today - we're taking off! Hopping on the bike and traveling up to Franklin where we spent our honeymoon. The first weekend in October is the annual Applefest of Franklin. So, we might as well take advantage of the coincidences God is blessing us with. Then tonight we're going out for a romantic dinner - just the two of us! Can you even stand it?? I love my kids, don't get me wrong. But it's nice to get a break.

I'll be sure and catch up on my blog reading later tonight.
Have a great Saturday everyone!! And look for the blessings God has given you in the form of a coincidence.

Love,

Hi Julie,

Hope you have a great day. Just went over to your other site for the first time. It's great, the funny thing is I was reading about Nunnie and my daughter and I were just trying to figure out what my granddaughter can call me so we looked up the Italian word for Grandma and found out what it was and thought that sounded good. My husband's family's Italian. Now I just have to get Maddie to talk more. LOL

I was sorry to read about your evening in the last blog... and am so glad you can celebrate tonight!! My husband and I have yet to go out alone together to celebrate our 15th and that was back on Sept. 5th!!! Oh well... someday it will just be us two and we'll be begging the kids to come spend time with us!! Happy Anniversary again!

There's a place here in Northern California called "Apple Hill", a collection of apple farms in the middle of nowhere, where my wife and I go every year to collect a goodly bushel of apples for baking come Christmas.

My favorite season, Fall, is just ripe with love and joy in the air, and my favorite fruit, the apple, is the best this time of year!

I have an old fashioned apple slicer/peeler/corer that I use to give out apples to all the younger kids. It's wonderful!

Have fun!

OMG, I was at the Franklin Applefest yesterday!! What a small world!! Hope you had as good a time as I did. Guess you didn't buy anything really big if you were traveling on the bike. Please tell us all about your romantic dinner.
