I have missed you!

Ok, for one reason or another, I did not get to read blogs Friday night, Saturday night or Sunday night! I have been completely out-of-the-loop for the past 3 days and I was going a little stir crazy. A million new posts have been entered. And it took me from 5 o'clock this morning until just now - 8:45! - to read them all. And that doesn't include reading any of the blogs I find through comments. Whew! Mama said there'd be days like this! She just didn't tell me there'd be that many days in a row.

Funny how I went 34 years without knowing any of you and now I can barely get through a day without checking in. Kimmie is having a hard time with her adoption process. Anita is still struggling to make sense of the tornado to hit Greensburg. Robin is having surgery today. Rosemary's husband is leaving for Qatar soon. Auld Hat changed her template! I have a hundred people that I truly want to see and to pray for and I'm having a hard time keeping up. I know, I know - everyone told me that was bound to happen. But I feel so guilty. Not because any blogger has ever pressured anyone to leave comments or check in. Everyone in this community is so obviously grateful for any comment left on their page. Nobody expects everyone to do it every single day; leave a comment on each and every friend's blog. But, I LIKE to do that. I just know the immense sense of friendship I feel when someone leaves me a little line albeit daily, weekly or even just once. So, I want that someone to feel the same way. It's a way of taking the lonely out of alone. Or inviting someone into your home for a cuppa whatever. Or sharing the joys with your friend. Or grieving with them. So please forgive me everyone. Know that I'm always thinking of you and hoping that God's blessings are about to knock on your door.

Thanks Julie... A beautiful post... Don't ever feel obligated to constantly keep up and comment... We all know how busy life is!
You are a permanent fixture on my prayer list, too!

Julie,

I haven't had time to check in either, but hey, that's life!
Please don't feel guilty about not being able to read/comment every single day on everyone else's blog (or I'll have to feel guilty, too!)
;)

I think it has to be enough to know that we all read/comment when we can, *if* we can.

BTW, beautiful blog about your 'Dad' below...

Cheers,
J.

Oh, please don't stress Julie! I love it when you read and comment on my blog, but I understand if you can't.
But know the feeling is mutual! Your posts are always so refreshing, and yours is one of the blogs I look forward to reading. You've got such a big heart, and it's nice to know that someone like you is keeping me in her thoughts!

Hi Julie, you are so sweet! We all understand that life intrudes on blogland occasionally! Your wonderful comments and encouragement have meant so much to me, but I totally understand your predicament. Please don't stress out about it!

Hi Julie,
This is the other Janet! I have had a busy weekend too, but I did get a new post up, and thank you for responding. Have a wonderful week!

Hi Julie, You have a kind heart, we do the best we can each day not to worry ... I loved that you visited me and the nice comments. I feel blessed to be meeting such nice people.

For the napkin exchange I used material with a soft butter colored background with a pretty pink cabbage rose design....I forgot to take a picture, don't know what I was thinking.

Your anniversay plans might have changed, but it was a wonderful day and you made someone very happy, that is the best gift we can give anyone. Linda

Hi Julie,

I know just how you feel! My list of favorites gets longer every day and I try so hard to keep up! I hate missing a visit, but sometimes life gets hectic. You are such a sweetie and no one expects a visit every single day. When you can is plenty fine. There's always a cuppa waiting just for you ;)
Hugs,
Dena

I know how you feel, Julie. Sometimes it's really difficult to keep up in blogland. Isn't it awesome, though? I love the friends and I ALWAYS appreciate the nice posts you send to me.

My week-end was, errrr, tough. I came down with the tummy flu. We were at the cabin, so I had the bumpy, mountain-road ride down to the valley over jolts and jars. Not too good for a queasy tummy, to say the least! LOL! Today I'm resting but am feeling quite alot better.

I hope you enjoy a great week!

Ah Julie-don't panic, we're not going anywhere!! By the way, I think it's great to find another Smiths fan!! You don't meet too many of them blogging-think you're the first!!

Julie...love you daily, weekly and monthly. My life is pretty blah...whenever you might drop in not much will have changed...the weather will be good or bad, the kittens and cats feuding about some imagined trespass, the dogs will be barking at the air and I will be crabby. See? Same stuff, different day.

I don't get around much on the weekends either. And like you, I find I really miss my blog friends.

I'm always curious about other bloggers who never leave comments and have no blogroll of friends. I recently deleted a few of them as it feels like a one-sided friendship. I'm all for using one's blog in whatever way it is pleasing but I'm not going to keep reading and commenting there. Ya know, we're all busy.

Hey, no problem Julie! It can be almost impossible. I think everyone knows that everyone would love to just spend the day reading and "talking" to each other via comments, but it just can't happen. But, I miss not being able to too, and can't wait to get caught up. Love, Esther

You and I are feeling the same way. I feel like I'm missing out when I can't visit all my blog friends. I love getting comments and so it's important to me to leave them too. Sometimes I get so far behind and it sure is nice when I can catch up.

Nice Post!

Hugs!

What a nice post. It's hard sometimes to make blog rounds with our busy lives.

Where in PA are you? Can you believe I've never been to the Apple Fest? I love apples too. Guess I should try to get there huh?

Oh Julie, Please don't worry about it. But I know what you mean. I spent all morning reading and commenting on blogs when there were a million other things I should have been doing. But it's just so darn much fun and you are right that everyone feels like just a good friend and you want to see what they are up to. Be good to yourself and stay as sweet as you are. xoxo Lynn

Yep, I know how it goes. And now look, you have 32 or 33 comments to read! The more you read, the more places you can comment. The more places you comment, the more comments you get. And it goes round and round and never stops. You can usually tell the people that invest time in finding and nurturing their new friends, they have lots of comments!
Wonderful! But, the more friends you have, the harder it gets to keep up with everyone. And that is definitely the drawback because you want to keep up. So, either lots of friends, less visiting time, or less friends, more visiting time, OR lots of friends and spend your whole day visiting! Or, I think there is one more, lots of friends and you only visit a few of them regularly. Seems like they all have their drawbacks and plus sides! Wow, quite a dilemma, huh? Too bad we don't have more hours in the day!
xo,
Melissa

You are always there with a comment on my blog so I just want to take a moment to say thank you. It feels so good to know others are reading your blog and interacting with you, as you well know. It is normal that life gets busy and we cannot always keep up. That is okay too.

Julie- You're the hardest working blogger out there! Please don't feel bad about not leaving comments. Like you said, we don't expect you to. You deserve a couple days off!

That's exactly how I feel! I feel so guilty if I don't visit everyone every day or if I don't leave comments all the time! I love blogging, but sometimes I think it's affecting my self-worth just a little too negatively. lol I'm always feeling like I'm slacking off. This past week hasn't helped that feeling either. Once you fall behind, you REALLY fall behind, huh? But I just can't bring myself to quit. I'm addicted.

Hello, my name is Kari and I'm a blog addict. (Hello, Kari - heard faintly in the background!)lol
