Victory is Mine!

I found this book cover this morning and thought how appropriate! The battle is over and I have come out the winner! This morning as I was reading email, he came downstairs. He came over to where I was sitting and pulled me up to my feet, wrapping me in a hug. I started to cry, of course! It had been 48 hours since I touched him must less talked to him. When I pulled back to look at him, and wait for his apology, yes...I was still bound and determined to get one. He told me he loved me and I kinda cocked my head and I'm pretty sure my left eyebrow went up. He started laughing and wanted to know why he always has to be the one to apologize. I explained to him because you're the one that was an ass. Sweetie! He laughed and said Oh yeah, right. I'm sorry. So I sent my husband off to work with a hug and a kiss and an I love you. And he left dreaming of what he thinks will happen tonight. Yeah, we'll see. Anyway, thank you all for your strong words of encouragement. I hesitated saying anything because no one likes to air their dirty laundry in public. But I'm glad I did. I'm human and pettiness and childish behavior is not foreign to me and I think it's better for you to see the real me instead of some fake persona.

Ok - now I have a few announcements. One is that Debra at The Bunny's Bungalow is having a giveaway. It is a wonderful package and if you mention that I sent you...I get another entry. So please run over there and mention my name. Thanks a bunch!! Also, don't forget about Robin's giveaway. Today is your last day to enter. You can enter here or from my sidebar announcement.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketAnd Miss Dena gave me a wonderful award the other day which I did not forget about; I just had to bitch a little yesterday. This is such an honor for me especially coming from Dena. Her heart is so pure, I just love her. She's the kind of person who, when you see her (or read of her for that matter) you just want to reach out and hug her with both arms and all of your heart. And now it's my turn to pass this award on. And I would love to pay it forward to Lori of All You Have to Give. I read her blog as soon as I'm done typing my post for the day. She is such an uplifting person. Her walk with Christ is truly inspiring. She's a good wife, a great mother but most importantly she remembers her role as a daughter of our Lord. Please join me in visiting Lori today. I have no doubt you will be inspired!

And one last thing. About "the argument." This was a tiny tiff that my husband and I had. It was not marriage-shattering. But it was real, nonetheless. And that's why I mentioned pettiness and childish behavior. See, in the blogworld, you only see what others mention. Not that anyone is lying. But, I'm sure that there are little instances and actions that people don't necessarily want to reveal. I have to thank Brenda. She said in her comment to me yesterday that she was glad I wrote what I did. Her image of me was "a beautiful angel in some another place that has a perfect life." And I think that most people feel that way. LOL! Not about me. HA, that's not what I meant. I meant that most people read blogs and see the perfection of others on the page. They don't see the mom screaming at her kids to get ready for school. They don't see the wife ignoring her husband for days because he won't pick up his laundry. They don't see all of the impurities of daily living. It's good to be humbled. I'm no angel. FAR freaking from it. So reach out to others. Be good to one another. Try your best to change what you don't like in your life. But remember that everything looks good in Maroon and White. And your own life probably isn't as bad as you think.

Good Morning Julie,
I'm so glad he apologized. I know you must feel alot better today. And I know as well, that our hubbies do triger the anger in us at times. But, I hope not to offend anyone here, but isn't it funny how men want to apologize when they are "wanting something"? They know how to get to us huh? LOL. Here is what I always tell my hubby after we have had an arguement: It's always fun making up! Oh well, we live life and learn. I'm out visiting a bit. Take care my friend and have a great Friday. May God Bless You and Yours. Congratulations on your Award.

Hugs,
Karen H.

I am so glad it all worked out! I love that feeling of just making up, what a difference compared to the fighting! For me, it is a heavy burden I carry all day. I am so happy for you. It is nice to know he appreciates you! It is really good that you talked about it because it really does encourage others to know that we all have issues like this. I blogged about waking up depressed and boy it was encouraging to hear how many other women get that way.....I'm normal after all! :0) Have a wonderful day and have a great evening with your hubby!

I'm glad you made up. I know we can't always get along with our spouses, but I hate to fight with my husband and I know what a relief it is when you feel like you're on the same page again.

Oh Julie, I'm so happy to hear that the stand off is over! Thank you for sharing this story, you are right in what you say, that we sometimes see others lives as perfect especially in blog land. I learnt a long time ago that humble pie tastes a lot better warm than cold and stale! Hugs for you.

Hey sweet friend... I am playing blog catch up in between business catch up....

I just wanted to say your last several posts are EXACTLY WHY I say you are SO GENUINE... You are full of such honesty and you show your REAL side... you dont sugar coat it... Life isnt all that....

And that is why I LOVE you so much

So does anyone know why google is trying to force us to use a google account in order to post our blog addresses???

I have noticed they changed the settings so the address isnt clickable or I am doing it wrong... and just when I got the hang of it the other way

I'm glad everything seems to have worked out for you! Marriage has it's hills and valley's for sure!

It is so easy to fall into only presenting the best side of yourself on a blog that is so true. I like to see people keep it real from time to time.

Have a great day! =)

I'm glad your husband saw the error of his ways. :) Really, these kinds of arguments are much better during the week. It's no fun fighting over the weekend when there is so much good stuff to do.

I never thought for a second that this was a marriage shattering episode...
But!..It does bring up a perfectly legitimate question.
Why do we always have to apologize first??...dammit.

Julie, I just had to comment on this because I know exactly how you feel! I had a stupid fight with my husband a few months ago and we didn't talk for a few days. I don't even remember what it was about, but most likely, we BOTH were at fault. It was AWFUL. I hate those non-speaking days, but am way too stubborn to admit my mistakes and end them. It is something I really need to work o n. Finally making up is the best thing ever!

Honey you are queen of your universe right now. I still think making him suffer with a little teddy action is money.

You are an absolute doll in your sweet authenticity. I love Joel Osteen, have been reading a book of devotionals he wrote. He's got such a gentle spirit and is such an encourager. So glad you have kissed and made up.

That was funny..."no one likes to air their dirty laundry". ha,ha,ha My husband WISHES I'd keep my mouth shut about our "dirty laundry". And my response is "quit ticking me off then!". Sheesh. Doesn't take a genius to figure THAT out, does it? lol
Merry Christmas!
