What Season Are You?

So I finally get the sty in my right eye cleared up and doesn't one form in my left eye over the weekend... It's enough to give a person a complex, you know. My grandmother always said that you get styes from peeing in the alley. HA! I swear I haven't done that in years. Just kidding. I've had eye infections my whole life. I think it's because I have such nasty allergies. And I'm constantly rubbing my eyes. Terrible habit, I know. But I think therein lies the problem. And tea bags taped to my eyes is a big pain in the old patootie. Anywhoop - Kari from Just Living Large suggested rubbing my wedding ring over it. Something about the metals and it being all better. So I'm waiting to see how this turns out. Thanks for the tip, Kari!

I know that I mentioned this before. But I hate winter. I am so sick and tired of being bundled up. I'm tired of our gas bill. I'm tired of having to wear shoes (I'm a barefoot girl in the summer.) And I'm longing for the day. You remember "day" don't you? We only see it a few short hours now. I'm so looking forward to sitting on my porch until well past 5 o'clock and being able to enjoy the sun. I miss the sun. That stupid groundhog will probably see his shadow this Saturday. Interesting fact about old Phil. Did you know that the way they determine if he has seen his shadow or not is based on his desire to mate? Doesn't that just take the cake? If the little bugger is horny and anxious to jump Philomena - spring is right around the corner. If he is listless and not too terribly interested in his partner's needs (typical man) then it's 6 more weeks of winter folks. YUCK! Well at least Lent is right around the corner. That's something to look forward to.

Here's a little quiz for this gloomy Monday morning. I had suspected this all along...

You Belong in Summer

Energetic, creative, and very curious about the world...
You're not going to let anything hold you back, especially a cold day.
Whether you're chilling out at the beach or partying all night, you live for the warm weather.

Good Morning Julie,
I took the little quiz to see what Season I am. Here is what it said about me.
You Belong in Spring

Optimistic, lively, and almost always happy with the world...
You can truly appreciate the blooming nature of spring.
Whether you're planting flowers or dyeing Easter eggs, spring is definitely your season!

I dont' think it's right tho. I love Fall more than any other Season. We are under another Freezing Fog Advisory here this morning until 9:00a.m. They say it's suppose to get up into the 50's today, but we will see. They said that for yesterday too, but it only made it up to 39 degrees. I do hope your sty goes away. I hope the rubbing of your Wedding Ring on it works. I've never heard of that before. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Sties hurt! Hope yours leaves quickly. We have Octorara Orphie here instead of Phil. Those Groundhog Lodges creep me out, all those old white men in top hats and lab coats.

You are so fun. Milo says thanks for the big hug and kiss. Hope your other eye gets better quickly. Our temperatures have been fairly mild here,so I am not suffering from winter doldrums, though a trip to the beach is desired, and right now it's a bit too cold for that. Long day today with lots of grading and class...ahh Monday. Hope you have a fab day dear beautiful friend.

Oh, I'm Autumn: Intelligent, introspective, and quite expressive at times...
You appreciate the changes in color, climate, and mood that fall brings
Whether you're carving wacky pumpkins or taking long drives, autumn is a favorite time of year for you.

Yes, I love autumn, really, who doesn't. But, I love all the seasons really, especially summer.

I belong in Winter... maybe it is because I haven't been where you are,but snowed in with big fires and soup and a warm blanket and movie sound like heaven to me.

What do you do if you're not married? Grab the hand of the closest married person and start rubbing away?

That quiz was lots of fun! I was Autumn. Sounds about right too. Hope you're having a lovely warm day sweetie!

Hi Julie,

I get stys all the time, not fun. The metal does help I have done the same thing before, very good advice. Winter Depresses me too. In fact Yesterday I was going to go shopping at our Thrith store here in town and it snowed all day, we got 7 inches, so I am hoping it melts soon, I hate driving in snow , and what's worse is ice under the snow, ughhh! I will be so happy when Spring is Here :)

Hi Julie,

I am sick of winter also. I know I belong in a warmer climate in the winter. But have you noticed that it's staying lighter later. Yes it is, we are on the upside girl and going towards Spring. Just keep repeating that. :-)

Julie,

Whether you're lighting a fire or having a snowball fight, you always feel best in the winter.

..If it's actually Winter, and not this incessant California drizzly crap!..
Give me snow, hot buttered Rum,and coyotes howling at a full moon that glistens off a vrirgin white landscape!

Yeah, right. I saw you peeing in an alley, just the other day! Don't try to hide it.

Just kidding.

I miss warm weather, and daylight, too. I'm a summer girl. I love not having to bundle up. I like to be free and run around my house naked.
Just kidding, again.

Have a great Mon/Tues, Julie!

Hey there Julie, hope you are feeling better real soon. I'm also plagued by allergies and they are the worst.

Regarding the seasons...the question to me really is, which season are you not.LOL Because the one season I'm not, is winter. Like you, I hate this time of year and if I had my way, I would skip it. LOL

I love the other 3 seasons but my favorite is summer. Due to the fact that my garden is in full swing, this is my happiest time of the year.

Hope your eyes clear up for good, you poor dear!
