How Much Can I Get Done??

housework
So I was up at 7 this morning, sorting laundry, reading email, planning dinner and trying to remember when I have to go to work. My house seems to be in a permanent state of disarray these past few weeks and I can't stand it. The time has come to get organized, get efficient and get busy. So I thought to myself this morning: Daphne, (that's what I call myself) this would make a good entry for your blog! I was away for so long and I want to get back in touch with my friends. So I put off cleaning and cooking this morning to blog. WTH?

I've reviewed my check list. Laundry, started. Dishwasher, running. Dinner, planned (German-style sweet and sour ribs for my hubby.) Carpets, dirty. Floors, sticky. Furniture, dusty. Clutter, laying around. AAAGGH! When I wasn't working outside of the home I was definitely working INSIDE of the home. Now I don't seem to be. I can't find that happy medium where I manage to balance all of my priorities. By the time I get home from work (normally around 6) I managed to cook dinner and then I crash. Those babies wear me out!

Anyone have a suggestion??????? Help a poor girl out, please!

Two posts in one week!

The solution is easy; win the lottery then hire a team of maids.

If you figure out all the details, let me know.

I had noticed you weren't around much lately...so you're a working gal now, as if house work isn't enough to keep a person hopping!

Hope it all falls in place for you, hugs, DebraK

I know what you mean about the house getting out of control so easily when you are working. I also know how exhausting little kids can be. I work part of one day a week in a kinder and it nearly kills me. I need the whole rest of the week to recover.

I'm glad you're back blogging again.

(I thought the ass was pretty funny too, though an ass here is a donkey.)

I am so with you Julie, this is exactly how I feel lately. With school and work I am spending all of my time in front of a computer one way or another. Every day I tell myself, "today is the day the dog stops walking me!" Then before I know it, I'm just trailing behind on my nose. There has to be a way to get to all of it! I think we just need a clone machine of ourselves...I think I'd need at least three of me.

Hugs,
Dena

Hi Julie!

I am so excited that you have two posts in one week! Yahoo.

Sorry about the messies at home. It can be so exhausting just looking at it.

My humble thoughts....turn off the t.v, go for a walk after dinner, listen to nice mucic with your man, find a great book to read, sit outside and listen to the birds sing, tackle one area at a time...set a timer and see how much you can get done in 15 minutes. ThROW things away, junk sucks up your life (just like tv does)...have a tag sale and use the money to go on an overnight away with your man. You'll never miss the stuff and you'll feel so much 'cleaner.'

Are you taking vitamins...how about a B complete (great for stress)...also an iron tablet might give you more energy (I take a slow release iron ...actually 3 a day, as I am anemic at times, it takes about 3 months to work though).

Be nice to yourself Daphne (okay, why do you call yourself that?)....I love you and so want to read what you are up to.

love you my sweet sweet friend!!
